NEW ORLEANS – Old Dominion junior Cosme Rolland De Ravel was named Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Year and Dominick Mueller was named the Coach of the Year, the Sun Belt announced on Thursday. The voting was conducted by the league’s head coaches.

Rolland De Ravel enters the conference championship this weekend with a 20-6 singles record on the year and is 8-4 this spring. In doubles competition, he is 19-4 overall and 14-3 in the spring. In the fall, he made it to the ITA Regional Semifinals by beating two players from UVA and won the ITA East Sectional Consolation draw beating players from Clemson and Harvard. In the spring he holds wins over Cornell, Virginia Tech and Liberty and a straight set victory over last year’s conference player of the year, Dimitris Paliouras from Georgia Southern. He has been ranked as high as No. 88 in singles and No. 41 in doubles this season.

Mueller guided the Monarchs to a 14-8 overall record and the Sun Belt regular season championship for the third-straight season. This is the third conference coach of the year award for Mueller, as he was named Conference USA Coach of the Year in 2018 and Sun Belt Coach of the Year in 2023. He earned ITA Regional Coach of the Year accolades in 2024.
Along with his player of the year honors, Rolland De Ravel was named to the Sun Belt first team for singles and doubles.
