NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Sailing Team took action in two separate events this past weekend at the MAISA Women’s Team Race and the Truxtun Umsted Race.
At the MAISA Women’s Race, the Monarchs finished in fifth place out of eight teams with a record of 7-14 out of three rounds. They had two wins come against Navy and Fordham in both rounds one and two, while another two wins came against George Washington in rounds one and three, and a lone win came against Pennsylvania in round two.
The skippers at this race were Allison Volk, Marina Conde, and Gianna Dewey, with the crew being Molly Hanson, Isabelle Kanach, and Morgan Auth.
At the Truxtun Umsted Race, the Monarchs finished 12 out of 17 teams with a total score of 293. Team A finished with a score of 139, and Team B finished with a score of 154.
The skippers were Blake Goodwin and Pierce Brindley with the crew being Cadence Goodnight, Emil Body-Goldberg, and Lindsey Kaufmann.
