NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s tennis hosts Southern Miss and Louisiana in its final regular season matches of the year this weekend.

The Monarchs take on Southern Miss on Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m. while their match against Louisiana is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 10 a.m. Fans can stream both matches through Track.Tennis with live stats also available.

Following the conclusion of ODU’s match against Louisiana, seniors Codie Van Schalkwyk and Parker Collins-Flores will be celebrated for senior day. Van Schalkwyk is 39-13 in doubles and 39-34 in singles during his time at ODU, while Collins-Flores was 5-4 in singles with a 5-2 record in doubles for the 2023-2024 season. Both were a part of the Sun Belt Conference Championship team last year.

Old Dominion is on a two-game win streak after sweeping rival James Madison at home last weekend. The Monarchs are 5-0 in Sun Belt Conference play with a 12-8 overall record. With wins this weekend, the team will clinch both the No. 1 seed in the SBC Tournament and the outright regular season title.

Southern Miss is on a seven-game losing streak, six of which coming from Sun Belt opponents. The Golden Eagles are 2-16 overall with an 0-6 conference record. 

Louisiana looks to bounce back after falling to South Alabama and Troy last weekend at home by respective 4-1 and 4-3 scores. The Ragin Cajuns are 9-10 overall with an even 3-3 SBC record.

The Monarchs moved up to 59th in the ITA rankings, with Connor Van Schalkwyk coming in at No. 119 for singles as well as No. 88 for doubles with Cosme Rolland de Ravel.
