NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s tennis swept Elon in a dominant 7-0 win on Saturday in the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.

ODU’s No. 2 Cosme Rolland De Ravel and Adam Majchrzak earned the first win of the doubles match with a victory over Elon’s Rafael Ymer and Jack Curtis (6-4), while No. 3 teammates Jean-Karim Olivier De Sardan clinched the point for the Monarchs with a hard-fought win over Charles Pilet and Juan Sengariz (7-6). Codie and Connor Van Schalkwyk’s match against Veljko Krstic and Oskar Antinheimo was suspended (6-6).

To begin the singles matches, No. 4 Majchrzak defeated Curtis (6-2, 6-2) with No. 5 Moundir following in suit as he bested Pilet (6-4, 6-4). No. 6 Olivier De Sardan secured Old Dominion’s win with a victory over Sengariz, though No. 3 Codie Van Schalkwyk would finish his match against Antinheimo (6-2, 6-4). No. 2 Connor Van Schalkwyk and No. 1 Rolland De Ravel continued their matches as well, securing wins over respective opponents Ymer (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Krstic (6-0, 7-6).

The Monarchs travel north next weekend to compete against Penn at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 2.
