MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Old Dominion University Swimmer Zach Redding continued his winning ways at the WVU Invite with a win in the 100 freestyle with a time of 43.67 Friday night in Morgantown.
The ODU women’s team finished the WVU in fifth place, while the men’s squad came in fourth.
The meet began with the 200 backstroke as Kristi Mosley finished 10th with a time of 2:04.49. Linnea Kallebo finished 14th with a time of 2:07.29, Kiersten Donnelly 15th in 2:08.09 and Mallory Mackay 17th in 2:07.97.
Gustaf Hansson won the B-Final to come in ninth with a time of 1:48.56.
Ryan Lincicum took 15th in the 100 free with a tine of 45.56, while Brice Bounds finished 17th with a time of 45.54.
Marian Cheramy came in 18th in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:24.11 and was followed by Jadyn Whitt, Bridget Morris Larkin, Julai de Camargo Gusso and Anna Bearor.
Bryce Mortimer earned a third-place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:57.80. August Eriksson finished in 10th with a time of 2:02.91, Toni Sallaku 17th in 2:04.88, Michael Marotta 18th with a time of 2:05.28, Marcus Scwartz in 23rd with a time of 2:12.07 and Drew Vanden Heuvel 24th in 2:13.50.
In the 200 butterfly, Angela Sicaja finished 19th with a time of 2:10.43, Kristina Zachary 20th in 2:12.72, Kallebo 21st in 2:14.04 and Anna Eberle 23rd in 2:22.79.
Zane Nall earned a 10th place spot in the 200 butterfly, while Tristen Wells finished 12th in 1:54.05. Xander Schreck added a 16th place finish with a time of 1:56.67, Owen Rolph 21st in 1:55.91 and AJ Capizzi 23rd in 1:56.62.
The Monarch women’s 400 free relay team of Lauren Masters, Whitt, Emma Seidel and Donnelly placed 14thin a time of 3:36.90.
The ODU team of Hansson, Bounds, Lincicum and Redding placed third in the 400 free relay with a time of 2:59.46.
