NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team finishes their regular season on Thursday night as they visit App State in a big Sun Belt Conference East Division matchup.
The game will have live stats and be streamed on ESPN+.
Both teams enter the last night of the regular season tied for second place in the East with 15 points. The winner could move as high as the third seed in the upcoming conference tournament, while the loser could drop as low as the sixth seed depending on results of the last night.
ODU dropped a 1-0 decision at Arkansas State on Sunday. The Monarchs held a 22-6 advantage in shots but were unable to find the back of the net. App State fell to Texas State by the same 1-0 count at home on Sunday.

Ashlynn Kulha has played all 90 minutes in each of the 17 games thus far in 2024. Heading back to last season, she has played in 1,770 straight minutes with the final two games of 2023 going into double overtime. Throughout her career, she’s played every minute in 34 of 38 matches.
Through 17 contests, Kijowski leads the Monarchs with nine goals and one assist for 19 points. Brooke Edwards has two goals and two assists for six points, while Andrea Balcazar Algarin and Yuliia Khrystiuk have five points with one goal and three assists apiece. Katie Lutz has two goals for four points, while Mullen and Laura Klebek have one goal with two assists also for four points. Gry Boe Thrysoe and Ashlynn Kulha also add one goal apiece.
Emily Bredek and Erin Jones have split time in the net. Bredek has recorded 32 saves in 11 games with a save percentage of .821 and a goals against average of 0.74 in 855 minutes. Jones has made 17 saves in 10 games with a .708 save percentage and a goals against average of 0.93 in 674 minutes. The Monarchs have had nine clean sheets thus far in 2024.
The latest women’s soccer RPI rankings were released on Monday and the Monarchs are currently 91st. James Madison (44th), South Alabama (83rd) and Texas State (99th) are the only Sun Belt teams with ODU inside the top 100 of the RPI.
In the Sun Belt statistics, Kijowski is second in shots and shots on goal, third in goals scored, goals per game and points. Khrystiuk is seventh in shots and ninth in shots per game. In goal, Bredek leads in goals against average, third in save percentage and tied for fourth in shutouts. ODU is ranked first in shutouts, and goals against average, third in shots and fifth in corner kicks.
Bredek and Kulha have won weekly honors from the Sun Belt Conference for Defensive Player of the Week. Kulha has won it in consecutive weeks, while Bredek won for her career-high nine saves against William & Mary.

Izzi Wood leads App State in scoring with 11 goals and one assist for 23 points. Her 11 goals leads the Sun Belt Conference as well. Ellie Garrison is next with four goals and a team best five assists for 13 points.
Sarah Wommack has played every minute in goal this season with making 57 saves, sporting a save percentage of .704 and a goals against average of 1.41.

ODU has locked up a bid to the Sun Belt Tournament starting November 4 in Foley, Alabama. Time and opponent will be announced following Thursday night’s action.
