ORLANDO, Fla. – The Old Dominion Women's Swimming team finished Day 2 of the Sun Belt Championships in Orlando on Thursday in fourth place with 141 points. The Monarchs competed in four events on the day.

The first event of the day was the women's 500 freestyle. ODU had four swimmers score points in the event. Lilly Cleal placed tenth with a time of 5:05.60, Sophia Kapla took 12th with a time of 5:06.19, Brynn Jewell placed 14th with a time of 5:07.54 and Sydney Welker finished in 15th with a time of 5:08.53.

The second event was the 200 IM, two Monarchs scored points in the event. Martina Ciriesi placed fifth with a time of 2:01.92 and Tetiana Yevminova placed 11th with a time of 2:05.81.

The third event was the 50 freestyle and two swimmers scored points for ODU. Mary Dunworth placed 10th with a time of 23.55 and Lauren Masters took 12th with a time of 23.76.
The final event of the day was the 200 freestyle relay where ODU's team of Yevminova, Masters, Ciriesi and Dunworth palced fourth with a time of 1:34.03.

Day three of the championships will continue tomorrow with prelims starting at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m.
