NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team starts another two-game road weekend as they visit Atlanta to take on Georgia State for a 7:00 p.m. tip on Thursday night. Following that game they'll head to Conway, South Carolina to face Coastal Carolina on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

This will be the 26th all-time meeting between ODU and Georgia State with the Monarchs leading the series 19-6. These teams met last year in Atlanta on February 9 with ODU taking a 63-60 win as Imo Essien hit a jumper with seven seconds left to ice the win.
This will be the fifth all-time meeting on Saturday between ODU and Coastal Carolina with the Monarchs leading 3-1. The teams split their meetings last season with each winning on the road and each team winning with free throws in the last three seconds. Bryce Baker hit two of three free throws with 1.2 seconds left as ODU took a 60-59 win in the last meeting on Jan. 28, 2023 in Conway.

The Monarchs hit the road again after falling 90-75 on Saturday at Arkansas State. The hosts got out to a 21-point lead that the Monarchs cut to two early in the second half, but ran out of steam falling to a red-hot Arkansas State team that hit 18 3-pointers in the game.
Vasean Allette leads the Monarchs in scoring averaging 16.7 points per game to go with 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest. He leads the Sun Belt in steals per game (1.7) and is second in total steals (27). Chaunce Jenkins follows him at 15.9 points per game, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Tyrone Williams rounds out the double figure scorers averaging 12.4 points and a team high 6.1 rebounds per game.
