NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team heads into Exam Week with a big test on Saturday night as 18th-ranked James Madison comes to Chartway Arena for a 7:00 p.m. tip on White Out Night. This is a non-conference matchup as the conference games will be Jan. 24 in Norfolk and Feb. 3 in Harrisonburg.
 
The contest will be streamed on ESPN+ with Scott Jackson and Billy Mann on the call.  Fans can also listen to the game on Priority Auto Sports Radio 94.1 FM with Ted Alexander and Dennis Wolff on the call starting at 6:30 p.m.

This marks the 89th meeting between the schools with the Monarchs holding a 58-30 advantage.
 
ABOUT ODU
The Monarchs are coming off an 84-79 loss on Wednesday night to William & Mary. Vasean Allette had season highs of 30 points and seven rebounds to go with three assists in leading three double figure scorers. Chaunce Jenkins had 12 points and four assists, while Tyrone Williams added 10 points.
 
Those three are the top three scorers for ODU through eight games with Jenkins averaging 16.4 ppg, Allette at 14.8 and Williams averaging 11.9 per game. Williams leads the team in rebounding at 6.7 per game, with Dani Pounds next at 4.8 per game and Allette at 4.6 per game. Jenkins leads in assists with 23, while Allette leads in steals with 13.
 
As a team, the Monarchs are scoring 69.5 ppg and allowing 73.3. From the floor they're hitting .439 (212-of-483) while opponents are hitting .424 (183-of-432). The Dukes made a major statement right out of the gate this year with an overtime win at  Michigan State. Last time out they defeated Keystone College 130-59 on December 3.
 
Terrence Edwards, Jr., leads four in double figures averaging 18.5 points per contest and is second in assists with 25. T.J. Bickerstaff is second in scoring at 16 points per game, leads in field goal percentage at .654 and in rebounding at 8.3 per game. Michael Green, III is averaging 12 points and has a team best 33 assists. Noah Friedel rounds out the double figure scorers at 11.8 points per game and leads the team in 3-point percentage (.458) and made 3-pointers (22).
 
JMU leads NCAA Division I in scoring averaging 95.4 points per game while allowing 76. They're hitting .501 from the floor (276-of-551) while opponents are hitting .419 (211-of-503).
