CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Old Dominion women's golfers Federica Torre, Leah Onosato and Pilar Muguruza have been named 2022-23 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, as announced by the organization last Thursday.
The three Monarchs are among 1,401 women's collegiate golfers representing 378 programs from across the country. To receive the distinction, honorees must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on their respective team's roster through the conclusion of their season, and have played in 50 percent of their school's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year. The criteria for selection is among the most stringent in all of college athletics.
This marks the second time all three golfers have earned the distinction during their careers. Torre was named an All-American Scholar while at Gonzaga in 2019-20, while Onosato and Muguruza were also All-American Scholars that year.
