A Record Six Monarchs Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas – Old Dominion University Football had a program record six players named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF announced on Wednesday. Colten Hicks, Zack Kuntz, Luke Lindenfeldar, John Morton, Nick Saldiveri and Dominik Soos earned the honors.
 
Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be either: A senior player, who will graduate this spring/summer, and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2022; or a graduated player, who has been out of high school at least (3) years; And must have: Attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 (4.0 scale); and been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2022 season.
 
Hicks played in all 12 games this past season for the Monarchs on special teams, recording one tackle and a tackle for loss.
 
Kuntz started the first five games of the year before missing the remainder of the season due to an injury. He caught 12 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns in those five games. In 2021, Kuntz finished second in the country in receptions by a tight end with 73 for 692 yards and five touchdowns.
 
A CSC All-Academic honoree, Lindenfeldar played in all 12 games on special teams and notched a pair of tackles on the year.
 
Also a CSC honoree, Morton played in 11 games as the holder on all extra points and field goals. In 2021, he also handled long snapping duties on punts.
 
A three-year starter at right tackle, Saldiveri started 35 career games for the Monarchs and was a two-time all-conference selection. He became the third Monarch to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl, joining Oshane Ximines and Travis Fulgham.
 
Soos appeared in all 12 games this year as the kickoff specialist. He notched 22 touchbacks on the year.
