NORFOLK, Va. -- Coming off a win over nationally-ranked Georgia Southern on Sunday, the Old Dominion men's tennis team will find themselves in another nationally-ranked match on Wednesday when Liberty comes to the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center for a 1 p.m. encounter.

The latest ITA National Rankings were released on Tuesday morning and Old Dominion moved up nine spots to No. 62, while Liberty came in at No. 68. This contest will be streamed on ODUSports.com and will have live stats.

"The matches against Liberty have been highly contested over the years, so you can see it's becoming a little bit of a rivalry. We expect another close battle tomorrow and are excited to welcome a very talented and well coached Liberty team," said ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller.

ODU (11-8, 3-1 Sun Belt) enters the match after a 2-0 conference weekend at home. They defeated Georgia State 6-1 on Saturday afternoon and then knocked off 69th-ranked Georgia Southern 4-2 on Sunday morning.

Cosme Rolland De Ravel leads the Monarchs in spring singles wins with 10, while Codie van Schalkwyk and Jakob Cadonau are right behind with nine. In doubles, Rolland De Ravel and Francois Le Tallec lead the team in spring wins with nine, followed by Younes Lalami and Brandon Perez with six.

Liberty (11-8, 6-0 ASun) will come to Norfolk winners of their last five matches. Last weekend they defeated North Alabama and Jacksonville State 7-0 in Atlantic Sun contests at home. In the spring, Luis Felipe Miguel leads in singles wins with 12, followed by Christiaan Worst with 10. The doubles tandem of Miguel and Deji Thomas-Smith lead in the spring with 11 wins mainly at line two.

The Flames won last year's match 5-2 in Lynchburg and have won two of the last three meetings, while ODU leads the all-time series 11-2.

The Monarchs hit the road again this weekend for their final regular-season road matches at Southern Miss on Saturday and Louisiana on Sunday.
