NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion baseball defends its Conference USA Title on Wednesday at 10 a.m. EDT against Middle Tennessee at Pete Taylor Park. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Ted Alexander will have the call on Money Talk 1310 AM 100.9 FM and 97.3 HD2.

Old Dominion enters the Conference USA Tournament winners of seven in a row, the last four on the road. The Monarchs are the No. 3 seed with a 38-15 record and went 19-11 in the league.
Matt Coutney was named the league's player of the year with a .364 batting average, he is fourth in the country with 25 home runs and has driven in 65.
Andy Garriola, Brock Gagliardi and Blake Morgan joined Coutney on the first team, while Carter Trice earned second-team accolades. Morgan earned C-USA Freshman of the Year honors and comes into the tournament with a 7-0 record and 1.41 ERA. In 63.2 innings, he has 65 strikeouts and just seven walks.
Garriola leads Conference USA and is eighth in the country with 72 RBIs and eighth in the country with 22 home runs. He is second on the team with a .332 average and second on the squad with 17 doubles. Gagliardi is batting .296 with 10 homers and 31 RBIs and has started 40 games behind the plate. Trice is batting .293 with 16 homers and 43 runs batted in.
Jason Hartline and Noah Dean lead the back end of the bullpen with a combined 13 saves and 88 strikeouts in 61 innings pitched.

Middle Tennessee comes into the C-USA Tournament with a 29-24 record and the Blue Raiders went 17-13 in C-USA. The Blue Raiders were 8-12 after dropping the C-USA opening series to Old Dominion but then ripped off five series wins in a row and seven of their final nine.
Jackson Galloway led MTSU with a .348 average and has seven homers and 32 RBIs. Fausto Lopez and Jason Speirs lead the team with eight homers, while Galloway and Brett Coker are tied for the team lead in RBIs with 32.
James Sells leads the club with a 2.68 ERA. Trent Seibert has appeared in 20 games with three starts and is 4-4 with a 3.22 ERA. Seibert is third on the club with 64 strikeouts.
