LYNCHBURG, Va. – Tara Enneking placed sixth in the 100 backstroke to lead Old Dominion University women's swimming on the third night of the Conference USA Swimming Championships.
In the opening event of the night, Martina Ciriesi won the 400 IM B-Final to place 10th with a time of 4:22.74. Gabby Tosi scored a 16th place finish with a time of 4:33.02.
In the 200 freestyle, Summer Miln placed 13th with a time of 1:52.26, while Brigid Donnelly added a 17th place position with a time of 1:54.03 and Miranda Byrne took 18th in 1:54.95.
The 100 breaststroke followed as Marian Cheramy finished 12th with a time of 1:04.69. Julia de Camargo Gusso took 15th in 1:05.35 and Tosi notched a 16th place in 1:05.49.
Tara Enneking earned ODU's top finish of the night, taking a sixth-place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.05. Mary Dunworth added an 11th place with a time of 56.48, Summer Sampson was 12th in 56.57, Peri Farling 14th in 57.48 and Peyton Turner in 15th in 58.16.
In the final event of the night, the Monarchs placed sixth in the 400 medley relay. The team of Enneking, Cheramy, Ciriesi and Laila Webb finished in a time of 3:47.57.
The final day of the C-USA Championships begins tomorrow with the prelims at 10:30 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
