Noah Wilkins Finishes Second in 50 Freestyle, ODU Fourth After Day One

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Noah Wilkins finished in second place in the 50 freestyle and Old Dominion men's swimming sits in fourth place after day one of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championships (CCSA) held in Lynchburg.
 
Wilkins tied for the third best time in the prelims of the 50 freestyle, but swam to a time of 20.24 in the finals, finishing just .08 off of the first place time of 20.16 by Brady Fields of Gardner-Webb. He improved his time of 20.61 from last year's CCSA Championship, when he also finished in second.
 
The 200 medley relay team of Jacob Cobb, Peter Durisin, Liam Redman and Ryan Lincicum earned a third place finish with a time of 1:29.54.
 
In the 200 IM, Cobb earned a sixth-place spot with a time of 1:50.16. Hugo Eriksson came in second in the B-Final to place 11th with a time of 1:53.22, Gustaf Hansson took 14th in 1:54. 60 and Anthony Capizzi was 17thin a time of 1:56.33.
 
In the 500 freestyle, Carson Doll won the B-Final to come in 10th with a time of 4:33.15. Thomas Ray came in 13th with a time of 4:37.41 and Hunter Young took 18th with a time of 4:45.56.
 
Incarnate Word leads after day one, followed by Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb and ODU, while Bellarmine rounds out the top-five.
