LAS VEGAS – The Old Dominion women's golf team endured extreme winds on Tuesday to finish 10th at The Show at Spanish Trail. Federica Torre claimed her second top-10 finish as a Monarch with a share of ninth place.

"Today's conditions were almost unplayable at times," head coach Mallory Kane said. "There was a wind advisory, and gust were about 40 to 50 miles per hour. It was a survival contest. We managed ourselves well for most of the day. With the exception of a few big numbers, we played well. It will be nice to have a few weeks of practice before we compete again."

The Monarchs finished off the tournament with a 28-over-par score of 316 on a day the scoring average jumped by almost six strokes from day one. ODU finished with a three-round total of 906, one shot behind James Madison and three behind New Mexico.

Torre carded a 77 (+5) on Tuesday for a 54-hole total of 220 (+4), good for a share of ninth place. Torre finished in the top-10 for the second time this season after claiming individual medalist honors at the Badger Invitational in September.

No. 44 UNLV, a co-host of the event, was the lone team to finish the tournament under par at 4-under 860. Second-place Nevada posted a 9-over-par score of 873.
