NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team will return to its home field in Norfolk, Virginia to play its second conference match against UAB on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
ODU (5-2) won its first conference match 2-0 over UTSA in San Antonio, Texas (San Antonio is a standalone city, so you don't need the state) on Thursday night. Kasey Perry collected her second clean sheet of the season while recording five saves. The Monarchs were led on the attack by Morgan Hall and Emily Garrick with one goal each. Megan Watts recorded four shots, two shots on goal, and one assist for the match.
UAB (5-2-1) also won its first conference match of the season 2-0 in Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday night over LA Tech. Asha Zuniga and Lexxi Lipsey led the Blazers in the attack. Anika Toth recorded three saves and achieved her first clean sheet of the season.
The last time ODU and UAB played against each other was in 2019 in Birmingham, Alabama, where the teams tied 2-2 after double overtime.
