NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's soccer team (1-0-1, 0-0-1 C-USA) will look to remain unbeaten for the season when the Monarchs welcome South Carolina (6-4-0, 0-1-0 C-USA) to the ODU Soccer Complex on Sunday, March 14 for a 2 p.m. start. To accommodate Monarch fans as a result of the difficult circumstances related to the pandemic, the ODU Athletics department is pleased to offer free admission to all home ODU soccer matches for the 2021 season.

So far this season, ODU has defeated William & Mary by a 1-0 score in Williamsburg and played to a 1-1 double overtime draw at UAB.

"Like UAB, the edge that South Carolina has over us is that they played in the fall," explained ODU head coach Alan Dawson. "South Carolina is a cohesive group and they play good soccer. On the flip side, we haven't played at home yet this season, so this is a big game for us. Our boys will be excited for the home opener on Sunday."

The Gamecocks enter Sunday afternoon's contest with a 6-4-0 overall record and 0-1-0 mark in league play. South Carolina has claimed victory in five of its last eight matches, most recently coming off a 2-0 loss to Marshall in Columbia, S.C.
