• Running back Blake Watson recorded his third-straight 100-yard rushing game in the win over LA Tech, carrying the ball 25 times for 108 yards.

• Tight end Zack Kuntz caught eight passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.

• The ODU defense held Louisiana Tech to 59 rushing yards on 22 attempts. The 59 rushing yards allowing is the fewest allowed by ODU since giving up 58 rushing yards to ODU on Oct. 24, 2015 to FIU.

• Cornerback Roger Cray had a season-high three pass breakups in the win over Louisiana Tech.

• Linebacker Jordan Young had six tackles in the win over LA Tech. He is third in school history with 298 career tackles. He is 42 stops away from tying Craig Wilkins' school record of 340 career tackles. Young is 25 tackles away from second place TJ Ricks, who has 323 career tackles.

Breaking Up Things
ODU senior cornerback Roger Cray had a season-high three pass breakups in the 23-20 win over Louisiana Tech. Cray nearly had an interception but wisely dropped the ball on the way to the ground to give ODU 23 yards in field position.

A transfer from WKU, Cray has started all six games he's played in at corner, and leads the team with six pass breakups. He also has 19 tackles and an interception (at Marshall) this season.

Watson Finds a Lane
Running back Blake Watson has now registered three-straight 100-yard rushing games, the first three of his career. Watson carried 25 times for 108 in the win over Louisiana Tech.

Watson becomes the first ODU player to have three-straight 100-yard rushing games since Ray Lawry did it in the final three games of the 2016 season.

ODU has now had a 100-yard rusher five times this season. Elijah Davis had 109 and Jon-Luke Peaker had 141, both against Hampton.

Kick Return Magic
For the first time since 2017, ODU returned a kickoff for a touchdown, when Norfolk  native LaMareon James went 100 yards for a score late in the second quarter.

The 100-yard return tied Isaiah Harper for the longest return in school history, which Harper did in 2017 against North Carolina. Harper was also the last Monarch  to  return a KR for a touchdown, when he returned two for scores against North Texas in 2017. Harper is currently on staff as a strength and  conditioning intern.

James' kick return touchdown was one of four, 100-yard kickoff return touchdowns that took place on Saturday, Oct. 30.
