NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's golf team caps the fall portion of its schedule with the three-day Evie Odom Invitational at the Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach this Sunday through Tuesday. The Monarchs welcome 12 teams, including 10 that are ranked top-100 by Golfweek, to the resort city for the third edition of their annual fall tournament. Live scoring for all three rounds is available at Golfstat.

Play begins each day at 8 a.m. on the par-70, 5,824-yard course. Starting times and locations for the second and third rounds are dependent on the team leaderboard.

Old Dominion is hosting this event, formerly called the Princess Anne Invitational, for the third year. The tournament has been rebranded as the Evie Odom Invitational in recognition of the contributions made by Evie Odom. For more information on Odom and her relationship with the women's golf program, read Harry Minium's story here.

The tournament field includes 11 teams ranked inside the top-100 of Golfweek's Sept. 30 rankings – including No. 41 UCF, No. 49 Chattanooga, No. 56 Campbell and No. 60 Charlotte. ODU sits at No. 69 in those same rankings.

The Monarchs tied for third at the Bryan National Collegiate earlier in the week. Jana Melichova shot a final round 5-under 67 to finish tied for second, the fourth runner-up result of her career. Additionally, Melichova has placed inside the top-10 in four-consecutive events spanning back to last season's Conference USA Championship. That is the longest streak of top-10 finishes by a Monarch since Maggie Simmermacher did so in five-straight events between the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
