ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Old Dominion sailing team competed in a pair of events over the weekend in Maryland, competing in the Faye Bennett MAISA women's singles event and the Chesapeake Invitational.
 
At the Faye Bennett MAISA women's singles, Elizabeth Gildea led the way for the Monarchs with a seventh-place finish. Allison Volk also competed for ODU and placed 11th. Gildea had four, top-five finishes out of 14 races while Volk had one fourth place finish.
 
ODU had three separate teams at the Chesapeake Invitational, finishing 10thth, 11th and 14th. 
 
Bridget Groble and Makalynne Dyer led the way for ODU with a seventh-place finish in the A Division. Rider Odom and Isabelle Kanach placed 15th and Parker Purrington and Katherine Barton finished 16th.
 
Andrew Cizcewski and Ethan Tutt led the Division B crew with a ninth-place spot. Jack Glenn and Raymond Domena finished 11th while Megan Geith, Chris Robertson and Jefferson Elkin finished in 13th.
