NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team (12-6, 8-4 C-USA) will welcome Middle Tennessee (5-13, 3-9 C-USA) to Chartway Arena for a pair of games this weekend on Friday, Feb. 26 and Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7:00 p.m. EST. Both games will stream on ESPN+.
 
Radio:
Friday and Saturday night's games will also air across the ODU Sports Radio Network, with Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik's live pregame show beginning at 6:30 p.m. each night.
 
All-Time Series:
Friday will mark the 12th all-time meeting between these two programs, as Middle Tennessee lead the series, 9-2. Old Dominion has claimed victory in each of the past two meetings, with the most recent taking place last season in Norfolk, where ODU won 70-60. The Blue Raiders won the first nine meetings in this series. The Monarchs are 1-3 when playing MT in Norfolk. These schools first met during the 1986-87 season. ODU and Middle Tennessee have met in the C-USA Tournament a total of three times, with the Blue Raiders winning all three of those meetings.
 
Old Dominion:
"I think we are an improving basketball team," said ODU head coach Jeff Jones. "It's always everyone's hope to be playing your best basketball leading up to postseason play. We definitely have room to grow. We are focusing 100% on Middle Tennessee right now, they are a dangerous team that plays extremely hard and can beat anyone in the league."
 
The Monarchs have won three of their last four games, as well as 10 of their last 14. Old Dominion is 7-1 on its home hardwood this season. Since 2014-15, the Monarchs are 84-17 (83.2%) when playing at Chartway Arena.
 
Prior to Friday night's contest, ODU's Xavier Green will be honored for reaching the 1,000-point milestone.
 
ODU is 9-1 in games decided by 9 points or less. Last season, ODU went 2-8 in games decided by 4 points or less.
 
So far this season, the Monarchs have been led by Malik Curry (15.0 ppg), Kalu Ezikpe (11.2 ppg), A.J. Oliver II (10.1 ppg), Austin Trice (9.4 ppg) and Joe Reece (8.6 ppg).

Middle Tennessee:
The Blue Raiders enter Friday night's contest with a 5-13 overall record and a 3-9 mark in league play. Middle Tennessee has lost eight of its last 10 games and has yet to win a game on the road this season (0-5).
 
Nick McDevitt is in the midst of his third season at the helm for MT, after a five-year stint as the head coach at UNC Asheville, where he led the Bulldogs to a 98-66 overall record which included three consecutive 20-win campaigns in his last three seasons, highlighted by a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2016.
