LYNCHBURG, Va. – Peter Durisin won the 100 breaststroke, and Jacob Cobb came in second in the 400 IM to lead the Old Dominion University men's swimming team on day two of the CCSA Championships Saturday night at Liberty University.
 
"Today was a great day of racing. We had four podium finishes for the team, several personal best times, and many individual and team goals were achieved," head coach Jess Livsey said. "I am excited to see what day three will bring for the Monarchs."
 
Durisin earned ODU's first win of the championship with a time of 54.15 in the 100 breaststroke. Last year at the CCSA Championships Durisin finished in second.
 
Cobb also improved his finish from a year ago in the 400 IM, finishing second with a time of 3:56.19. Hugo Eriksson added an eighth place spot in the 400 IM with a time of 4:06.99.
 
Noah Wilkins placed fourth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.55, while Cobb placed seventh in the 100 backstroke with a time of 50.94.
 
In the 100 butterfly, Oskar Iwarsson finished ninth with a time of 51.16.
 
In the final event of the night, ODU finished third in the 200 freestyle relay. The team of Parker Harp, AJ Profaca, Bryan Byrd and Noah Wilkins displayed a time of 1:22.77.
 
The third and final day of the meet begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. with the prelims and completed with the finals at 6 p.m.
