COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Old Dominion University swimming senior Filip Svedberg earned Scholar All-America honors, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced on Thursday.
The award recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championship.
Svedberg won the 100 butterfly at the CCSA Championships with a time of 47.65, which was an NCAA b-cut time. It was the third time in four years that he won the event.
A native of Sweden, Svedberg had a 4.0 GPA in the spring semester and has a 3.44 overall GPA.
