NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team ended the spring semester with a 3.71 term GPA and 3.55 cumulative GPA for the 2019-20 academic year. 24 Soccer Monarchs finished the spring with a 3.0 GPA or higher, 17 made the Dean's List (3.4 GPA or higher for the spring), 11 earned C-USA Commissioner's Medals (3.75 cumulative GPA or higher), while three student-athletes compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring.

"I am always immensely proud of the commitment and dedication our athletes have towards their studies, but to see the achievement this spring is incredible," explained ODU head coach Angie Hind. "To achieve a 3.71 GPA, considering half of the term every player was studying from home and having to find a way to remain focused, structured and committed to excel, on top of all the challenges of dealing with the Covid-19 situation, is astounding to me. Genuinely, this group of young women, as talented as they are as soccer players and they are just that, they have shown through this term that they are winners in everything they do. As a staff, myself, Michelle and Sam could not be more-proud of them or inspired by them."
