Old Dominion Welcomes Florida Atlantic to Chartway Arena on Sunday at 2PM

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team (11-17, 7-8 C-USA) will welcome Florida Atlantic (16-13, 8-8 C-USA) to Chartway Arena on Sunday, March 1 for a 2:00 p.m. ET tip. Sunday afternoon's game will stream on ESPN3.
 
Sunday afternoon's game will also air across the ODU Sports Radio Network, with Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik's live pregame show beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Sunday Marks ODU's Block Cancer Game:
The Monarchs will wear Conference USA Block Cancer shirts during warmups in support of the Mike Slive Foundation and its Block Cancer initiative.

In partnership with Conference USA, the Mike Slive Foundation has created the Block Cancer initiative designed to eliminate prostate cancer by raising awareness and funding critical research. Through simple in-game integrations, Block Cancer events will highlight the life of Mike Slive, his contributions to college basketball, his battle with cancer, and how fans can make an impact by donating to the Mike Slive Foundation

Conference USA Standings
 
All-Time Series vs. Florida Atlantic:
Old Dominion is 8-2 all-time against Florida Atlantic and is 5-1 when playing the Owls in Norfolk. When the two teams met earlier this season at Chartway Arena, ODU downed FAU by a 65-55 score. These two programs first met during the 2006-07 season, in a game the Monarchs claimed a 70-55 victory. Since both teams were members of the C-USA, Old Dominion is 7-2 against the Owls.
 
Notes from FAU at ODU Game on 1/25/20 at Chartway Arena:
-A.J. Oliver II poured in a game-high 21 points on 8-13 shooting from the floor and connected on 5-8 from downtown.
-Xavier Green followed with 14 points (2-3 3PT).
-Malik Curry turned in 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
-Kalu Ezikpe (nine points) and Aaron Carver each hauled down a game-high 12 rebounds.
-For the game, ODU held FAU to 29.7% shooting from the floor and 28.9% from deep.
 
No Place Like Home:
-ODU is 75-16 (82.4%) at home over the past six seasons.
 
Malik Curry:
Curry has scored 24 or more points in three of ODU's last five contests.
 
Hauling Down History:
Aaron Carver currently has 659 career rebounds, which ranks 22nd all-time for the ODU basketball program. Carver needs 12 more rebounds to pass Gerald Lee, 21 more to pass Ricardo Marsh. Carver's father, Anthony, ranks 17th on ODU's all-time career rebounding list with 755 boards. Anthony Carver also ranks 5th on Old Dominion's all-time career scoring list with 1,958 points.

Florida Atlantic:
The Owls enter Sunday afternoon's contest with a 16-13 overall record and an 8-8 mark in league play. Florida Atlantic has won two-straight, picking up victories over UAB (65-58) and most recently against UTSA (80-71).
 
Cornelius Taylor (12.0 ppg) and Jailyn Ingram (11.1 ppg) have led the way so far for FAU. The Owls are 2-10 (1-6 in C-USA play) when playing on the road so far this season.
