NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion baseball team is back home at the Bud for a weekend series against Yale. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs. The three-game series begins Friday afternoon (Feb. 28) at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday's games are at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively. All three of the games will be streamed on CUSA TV.
The Monarchs are coming off a comeback road win at VCU. Trailing 3-0 entering the seventh inning, Matt Coutney worked a leadoff walk and Andrea Dalatri hammered a two-run homer over the left field fence for his first career homer. Tommy Bell followed with a sacrifice fly to score Matt Burch and tie the game at three. Ryan Teschko delivered the go-ahead double to break a 3-3 tied in the eighth inning and ultimately win the contest.
On the mound, starter Nick Pantos leads the way with two wins and has not allowed a run in 12 innings of work. The right-handed junior has compiled 19 strikeouts in his two appearances. Aaron Holiday has a 1.50 ERA with the one save, going six innings with one run allowed on three hits with 11 strikeouts.

The Bulldogs have played just three games, facing the Citadel on the road on opening weekend. Yale opened with back-to-back losses before earning a statement 9-0 victory over the Citadel on Sunday. Individually, Harry Hegeman paces the way for the Bulldogs, compiling a .444 average while notching three runs off four hits. Head coach John Stuper has led the Bulldogs to four Ivy League titles in his 28 years at the helm of the program.
