Saturday night marks the 92nd all-time meeting between these two schools, as ODU leads the all-time series 68-23. These two programs last met last season in Williamsburg, in a game the Tribe claimed a 63-46 victory. This series dates all the way back to the 1968-69 season, when ODU won the first ever meeting by an 80-65 score. This will be the 48th consecutive season that Old Dominion has played William & Mary.
ODU's Kalu Ezikpe scored a career-high 19 points (8-13 FG), to compliment a 13-rebound double-double at Maryland in the season opener on Wednesday afternoon. In 2019-20, W&M head coach Dane Fischer, led the Tribe to its best regular season in 70 years. W&M's 21 wins in 2019-20 ranked fourth in program history and were the second-most for a rookie head coach in the country. For his efforts, he took home Coach of the Year honors from the CAA.
William & Mary was picked to finish 10th in the 2020-21 CAA Preseason Poll.
