No. 50 ODU Falls to Oregon in Eugene, 5-2

EUGENE, Ore. - The No. 50 Old Dominion (11-3) men's tennis team fell to Oregon (11-5) by a 5-2 score on Sunday night at the UO Student Tennis Center. After dropping the first set in singles, ODU's Francois Musitelli upset No. 33 Joshua Charlton on Court No. 1: 5-7, 7-6 (11-9), 1-0 (10-8). The Monarchs have won eight of their last 10 matches, while the Ducks advanced their home record to 8-3.

"Against a good team like Oregon, the margins are small and we took too many mental breaks today," said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "Every time we gained some momentum, we gave it up too quickly and were never able to get a foot on top of this dual match."
 
No. 50 Old Dominion will return to the courts on Saturday, March 21, when ODU travels to Philadelphia, Pa. for a match against Temple. The following day, Sunday, March 22, the Monarchs will square-off against Penn.
