ATLANTA – Jacqueline Tinneny set an Old Dominion University swimming record in the 1650 freestyle and Jacklyn VandePoel took third in the 200 backstroke to lead the Monarchs in the final day of the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championship.
 
Tinneny's record-setting swim in the 1650 freestyle placed her second with a time of 16:41.97. Elin Kata Sigurgeirsdottir placed eighth with a time of 17:19.53, while Brynn Jewell finished in 10th with a time of 17:21.35.
 
VandePoel placed third in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:58.66. Summer Sampson added a 14th place finish with a time of 2:03.83.

Tara Enneking placed fifth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:18.63.
 
Paige Romine added a 13th place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:21.76.
 
ODU added more points in the 100 butterfly as Rylee Moss placed 11th in 2:04.06 and Sigurgeirsdottir finished 12th in 2:04.13.
 
The 400 freestyle relay team of VandePoel, Peri Farling, Katie Ellett and Summer Miln finished fifth with a time of 3:29.66.
