NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team (3-2) is set for the 2019 Cayman Islands Classic, which will be held on Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27 at John Gray Gymnasium in George Town, Grand Cayman. The Monarchs will open up with George Mason (5-0) on Monday, Nov. 25 at 5:00 p.m. ET. ODU will play three games in three days. All three games will stream live on FloHoops.
All three games will also air across the ODU Sports Radio Network, with Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik's live pregame show beginning 30 minutes prior to each scheduled tip time.
Pending the result of Monday's game, Old Dominion will either take on Washington State or Nebraska in its second game on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at either 7:30 p.m. (if ODU wins Game One) or 5:00 p.m. (if ODU loses Game One).

ALL-TIME SERIES vs. GEORGE MASON:
Monday will mark the 58th all-time meeting between ODU and GMU, as the Monarchs lead the all-time series 36-21. These two schools last met during the 2014-15 season, in a game Old Dominion won 75-69 in Fairfax. ODU has won the last two meetings against GMU. George Mason has won five of the last seven meetings. These two schools first met during the 1979-80 season, in a game ODU won 99-78.

After trailing by 15 with 4:11 to play in the contest, the Old Dominion men's basketball team (3-2) stormed back to pull within two, only to have Malik Curry's potential game-winning three-pointer wiped away after an official review in an 80-78 loss to JMU (3-2) on Wednesday night at Chartway Arena.
Xavier Green led the Monarchs with 19 points to go along with four rebounds. Curry followed with 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Also in double figures for ODU was Jason Wade, who finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two assists. Aaron Carver hauled down a game-high 13 rebounds.

Through five games, Jason Wade is averaging 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.4 steals (ranks first in the country) and 2.0 assists per game. For the season, Wade already has 22 steals. The school record for steals in a season is 91 by Brandon Johnson in 2007-08.
ODU has outrebounded its opponents in all five games so far this season. Aaron Carver is averaging a team-high 11.8 rebounds per game. Carver has 429 rebounds for his career, just 71 shy of the 500 mark.
