CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (11-8) swept Charlotte (8-14) by a 4-0 score on Sunday at Lifetime Fitness. The match was pushed back two and half hours and also moved indoors due to inclement area in the Queen City.
“What an amazing display of character from our guys after Friday’s loss,” exclaimed ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “We came together and showed what ODU tennis is about. I couldn’t be more proud of our guys. That’s a tough Charlotte team, so beating them at their place is huge. I can’t wait to celebrate our seniors on Saturday. I hope Monarch Nation is coming out to honor them!”
The Monarchs have now won four of their last five matches and went 2-1 this weekend in the Conference USA East Round-Up.
