NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion baseball team hits the road for the first time in 2019 for a three-game series at Kansas State of the Big 12 this weekend at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas.

The Monarchs have won eight straight, including a walk-off win over reigning Big South champ Campbell on Tuesday.
This will be ODU's second straight weekend series against a Power-5 opponent. Last weekend, the Monarchs swept Rutgers.
ODU is hitting .318 as a team with 32 extra-base hits. Individually, Matt Burch (.429, 8 RBI, 9-9 SB), Erik Stock (.417, 1 HR, 5 RBI) and Kyle Battle (.409, 6 XBH, 13 RBI) are all hitting over .400.
On the mound, the Monarchs will go with the same weekend rotation of Nick Pantos (2-0, 0.55 ERA) on Friday, Morgan Maguire (0-0, 6.57 ERA) on Saturday and Ryne Moore (2-0, 2.81 ERA) on Sunday. Overall, ODU has a staff ERA of 2.82 and three shutouts.
ODU and K-State met last season at The Bud, with the Wildcats winning 2-of-3. Will Morgan highlighted the Monachs' lone win, hitting three home runs to become just the fifth player in program history to homer three times in a game.
ABOUT KANSAS STATE
K-State, at 5-6, is coming off of a series win against San Francisco last weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. The Wildcats, picked to finish last in the Big 12, are hitting .294 as a team with nine home runs and have a 5.49 staff ERA on the mound. Series History: K-State leads, 2-1. Last year's series marked the only meeting between the two schools.
