NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion (1-4) women’s lacrosse team hosts No. 25 Virginia Tech (2-3) on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. The Monarchs are coming off an 11-10 victory over Winthrop that marked their first win of 2019.
Junior Glory Johnson scored five goals en route to the Monarchs 11-10 win over the Eagles. Johnson is currently 11th in the country for most goals (15). The New York native was named Big East Attacker of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Defensively, ODU is led by seniors Alyssa Sebesto and Kerri Caruso. Combined, they have 21 groundballs, eight draw controls and 16 caused turnovers.
About No. 25 Virginia Tech
The Hokies are coming off an OT loss against No. 15 Duke. Offensively, the Hokies are led by sophomore Paige Petty, who has 16 goals and one assist this season.
In goal, Morgan Berman has made 42 saves for Virginia Tech.
The Hokies hold a 3-8 all time record against ODU. Last season, ODU dropped a 20-3 road game.
