NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion baseball team continues its 13-game home roadstand to begin the season with a three-game series against Binghamton this weekend at the Bud Metheny Complex.

The Monarchs opened 2019 with a 1-2 performance against Preseason Big South favorites High Point last weekend at home.
After opening the series with a 7-0 shutout win behind stellar pitching from Nick Pantos (1-0, 0.00 ERA) and Hunter Gregory (1 SV, 0.00 ERA), the Monarchs dropped a pair of close games in games two and three.
Kyle Battle (.455, 2B, 3B, 4 R) and Matt Burch (.417, 2 2B, 2 RBI) paced the Monarchs offensively, while Matt Schwarz (.333, 2B, 4 RBI) and Tommy Bell (.300, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI) also had strong opening weekends.
