NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team is set to play in the VCU Invitational at the Tuckahoe Creek Course in Richmond this week.
Action begins on Monday with two rounds and then concludes on Tuesday with the final 18. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.
This will be ODU's second tournament of the fall. Last week, the Monarchs were forced to withdraw from the Golfweek Program Challenge in Pawley's Island, South Carolina, due to evacuation procedures relating to Hurricane Florence. ODU was 9-under and sat in third place through two rounds.
Individually, Gustav Fransson (-5), Carter Morgan (-4) and Calvin Greschner (-2) were all in the top 20 of the player leaderboard through two rounds. Fransson was tied for seventh, Morgan tied for 11th and Greschner tied for 20th.
Last year, ODU finished 11th at the VCU Inivitational.
