NORFOLK, Va. -- In the second weekend of Conference USA play, Old Dominion heads to sunny Miami for a three-game set against FIU this weekend at the FIU Baseball Stadium.
Both teams opened conference play with 1-2 weekends last week. Old Dominion (8-11, 1-2 C-USA) dropped 2-of-3 at home to Florida Atlantic, while FIU (10-13, 1-2 C-USA) lost 2-of-3 at Charlotte.
The series marks the second time this season that the Monarchs have journeyed to the Sunshine State. ODU opened the season at the Diamond 9 Invitational in Kissimmee.
The last time ODU and FIU met in Miami, the Monarchs swept the Panthers, scoring 10 or more runs in all three victories. Overall, ODU leads the all-time series against FIU, 9-5.
All three games will be aired on radio on WGH 1310 AM with Doug Ripley and Tim Wentz on the call. In addition, the games will also be streamed on CUSA.tv.
