NORFOLK, Va. -- 
The Old Dominion field hockey team travels to Philadelphia this weekend for a Big East game at Villanova on Friday at 5 p.m.

Old Dominion (6-8, 3-2 Big East) can clinch a bid to the Big East Tournament with a victory over Villanova, along with a Temple win over Quinnipiac on Friday.

The Monarchs have won three consecutive Big East games, after beginning the conference slate 0-2. During the three-game conference winning streak, ODU has outscored its opponents 13-4. 

Erin Huffman (9g, 1a) leads the team in scoring with 19 points, while Danielle Grega (5g, 5a), who was selected to compete in the NFHCA Senior Game, ranks second on the team with 15 points. 

Alexa Ostoich (6g, 2a) and Julia Van Dorsten (2g, 6a) have also registered double-digit point totals on the season.

Defensively, freshman right back Cameran Nery-Strickland leads the team with eight assists, while fellow defenders Rebecca Birch and Kristen Vick have started every game at defense.

Freshman goalkeeper Lacey Frazier has started the last four games in goal and owns a 2.40 goals against average.

The Monarchs lead the all-time series against Villanova, 6-1.

ODU is 0-6 away from home this season.

Villanova (5-9, 2-3 Big East) enters Friday having won three of its last four games. Last weekend, the Wildcats defeated Temple, 3-1, to remain in contention for one of the four bids to the Big East Tournament. Villanova averages 1.71 goals per game and is led by Lydia Sydnor (6g) and Francesca Bello (4g, 3a).
