NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team concludes its regular season this weekend with road games at Detroit and Central Michigan.

The Lady Monarchs open the weekend with Detroit on Friday, April 29, at 3 p.m. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3. ODU then faces Central Michigan in its regular season finale on Sunday, May 1, at 12 p.m. A free video stream will be available for Sunday's game.

ODU (12-3, 5-1 A-Sun) currently sits in second place in the Atlantic Sun standings and can lock up the No. 2 seed for the A-Sun Tournament (May 4-8) with a victory over Detroit (9-6, 4-2 A-Sun) on Friday. Central Michigan (5-9, 1-5 A-Sun) has already been eliminated from postseason play.

After suffering their first conference loss at Jacksonville on April 10, the Lady Monarchs have reeled off three consecutive double-digit victories, outscoring their opponents 54-15 over the three-game win streak.

Ashmore Standing has continued her strong play and currently ranks ninth in the NCAA and leads the A-Sun with 51 goals. The 51-goal total puts the Virginia Beach native just 16 goals away from tying the ODU single-season goal record of 67 set by Cathy Large in 1987.

Defensively, ODU ranks seventh in the NCAA with a conference-leading 11.67 caused turnovers per game. The senior duo of Morgan Gallagher and Missy Koscinski have combined for 45 caused turnovers and 58 ground balls, as each rank in the top five in the A-Sun in caused turnovers. Maggi Buckley has started all 15 games in net for ODU, posting an 8.85 goals against average and .463 save percentage.

Detroit currently sits in a tie for third with Furman in the A-Sun standings with a 4-2 league mark. The Titans lost to Jacksonville and Furman in conference play. Central Michigan earned its lone A-Sun victory Stetson, 11-10, in overtime.
