MIAMI, Fla. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team (11-10, 4-4 C-USA) remains in the Sunshine State to take on Florida International (11-10, 5-3 C-USA), on Saturday Jan. 30 at 7:00 p.m. EST at the FIU Arena.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES
Old Dominion leads the all-time series against Florida International, 2-0.

LAST TIME OUT FOR OLD DOMINION
Trey Freeman scored a game-high 28 points, while recording his 1,000th point in an ODU uniform and leading Old Dominion to a 78-66 victory over Florida Atlantic (5-16, 3-5 C-USA) on Thursday night at FAU Arena. Freeman has now recorded 28 points or more in five consecutive games (28, 28, 28, 37 and 28). The Monarchs led for 39:30 of the possible 40 minutes and never trailed the entire game.

To go along with a game-high 28 points, Freeman also hauled down six rebounds and dished out three assists. Zoran Talley tied a career-high with 16 points to go along with eight rebounds and three assists. Brandan Stith followed, recording 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

For the game, the Monarchs outrebounded Florida Atlantic 42-24. Old Dominion shot 50% (28-56) from the floor for the contest.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR OLD DOMINION
Trey Freeman is leading all Conference-USA scorers with 20.4 ppg. Aaron Bacote follows averaging in the double-figures as well, pouring in 14.1 points a contest. Brandan Stith is netting 8.9 ppg to compliment 8.7 boards per contest, while Zoran Talley is averaging 8.4 points and 5.0 rebounds. Denzell Taylor currently leads ODU with 150 total rebounds (7.1 per game).

Old Dominion is averaging 67.5 points a game, while holding opponents to a league best 61.9 points on 40% shooting from the floor and 32.2% from long-range.

MEET FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL
FIU enters Saturday’s contest with an 11-10 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Conference USA play. The Panthers had their two game win streak snapped on Thursday by Charlotte, 72-69.

Donte McGill leads three FIU players averaging double figures, going for 16.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Adrian Diaz follows, netting 15.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest, while Daviyon Draper chips in 15 points to go along with 7.0 boards.

Anthony Evans is in the middle of his third season at the helm at Florida International. Evans came to FIU after spending six seasons as the head coach of the Norfolk State Spartans. During his time with the Spartans, Evans amassed a 99-94 record, including back-to-back, 20-win seasons (26-10 in 2011-12 & 21-12 in 2012-13).
