NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion men's soccer team will host an open walk-on tryout on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the ODU Soccer Complex.
The tryout will begin at 3 p.m. and conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m. All interested participants must be medically cleared and NCAA eligible prior to the tryout. For any questions or additional information, please contact assistant men's soccer coach Travis Myernick via email (tmyernic@odu.edu).
The Monarchs are coming off of an 8-5-3 year in 2015, giving head coach Alan Dawson his 17th consecutive season with a winning record. The team also reached a high ranking of No. 9 in the NSCAA Coaches' Poll and had a total of eight players earn All-Conference USA honors.
In addition, senior defender Michael Nelson was selected in the fourth round of the MLS SuperDraft by Seattle Sounders FC.
