Travis Myernick completed his fourth season as assistant coach for the Old Dominion men's soccer team in 2016. Myernick began his tenure in 2013, after serving two seasons as first assistant at Rider University.

Prior to Rider, Myernick served as the volunteer assistant coach at Wake Forest from 2008 to 2009, helping lead the Demon Deacons to a 17-4-3 record and their fourth-consecutive College Cup appearance in 2009.

Before his tenure at Wake, he coached with the New Jersey Olympic Development Program. Before joining the staff at New Jersey ODP, Myernick spent 2008 coaching youth soccer in New Jersey with AKKA Soccer, Bob Smith Soccer Academy and the Glenn "Mooch" Myernick Soccer Foundation. The foundation takes inner-city kids from Trenton, N.J., and uses soccer as a way to improve their quality of life.

Myernick is the son of the late Glenn "Mooch" Myernick, who was the head coach for the Colorado Rapids of the MLS and an assistant coach for the U.S. Men's National Team.

Myernick, a native of Denver, Colorado, graduated from Wingate University in 2006 with a degree in sport management.
