2015 Men's Soccer Year in Review

The Old Dominion men's soccer team finished the 2015 season with an 8-5-3 overall record and a 3-3-2 mark in Conference USA play. 

With the 8-5-3 mark, head coach Alan Dawson achieved his 17th consecutive season with a winning record. The Monarchs also reeled off an eight-game unbeaten streak from Aug. 30 to Oct. 10, and reached a ranking of No. 9 in the NSCAA Coaches' Poll, the highest ranking for an ODU team since 2012. 

The Monarchs' season ended in the quarterfinals of the C-USA Championship with a 4-2 loss to eventual C-USA champion FIU. Following the defeat, the Monarchs were one of the "first teams out" on Selection Monday for the NCAA Tournament. 

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

(1) The 4-1 victory over College Cup qualifier Akron, behind a hat trick from Josue Henriquez.

(2) 2015 STIHL Classic Champions.

(3) Ivan Militar's goal in the 2-0 win over New Mexico that was featured on Fox Soccer.

(4) Garrett Walke's golden goal, his first career goal, in the overtime win at Florida Atlantic.
