NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football travels to FIU on Saturday, Oct. 24 for a 6 p.m. kickoff in Miami.

The Monarchs are coming off a 37-34 win over Charlotte last Saturday to improve to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in Conference USA play. FIU fell at Middle Tennessee to drop to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.

• The Monarchs snapped a three-game losing skid with a come-from-behind 37-34 win over Charlotte last Saturday. David Washington threw for 365 yards and tossed an 11-yard touchdown pass to Zach Pascal for the game-winning score.

• ODU game captains this week are Tyler Burns, Jonathan Duhart, TJ Ricks, Bunmi Rotimi.

• David Washington came in to play quarterback the second series for ODU and finished 25-of-43 for 365 yards and four touchdown passes and added 37 yards on the ground.

• Junior wide receiver Zach Pascal recorded career bests with 11 catches for 231 yards and three touchdowns. The 11 catches is the second most in school history as is the 231 yards. The 231 yards is the most against an FBS opponent.

• TJ Ricks registered a school record 18 tackles in ODU’s win over Charlotte, also recording two tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for a 28 yard return.

• Safety Fellonte Misher added a career-best 14 stops and a tackle for loss and he moved into second place in ODU’s career tackle charts.

• The last time ODU came from behind two scores in the fourth quarter to win was Oct. 5, 2013 against Liberty. The Monarchs trailed 17-7 before winning 17-7. That was also a homecoming contest.

• The Monarchs are 34-11 all-time at home, all 45 home contests have been sold out.  

• ODU is now 6-3 all time coming out of their bye week.

• The Monarchs are 46-8 all-time when scoring 30 or more points and 9-15 when scoring less than 30.

Experienced Safety
Senior Fellonte Misher recorded a career-best 14 tackles in ODU’s 37-34 victory over Charlotte. A week after suffering a first half injury against Marshall, Misher came back with avengence against the 49ers with 14 tackles and a tackle for loss. He passed John Darr for second on ODU’s all-time tackle charts.

Linebackers Reign
TJ Ricks broke Craig Wilkins’ single-game tackles record with 18 tackles in the win over Charlotte. Ricks added two tackles for loss, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

He has a team-high 68 tackles and a team-high five pass breakups along with three tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and a sack.

He is tied for fourth in the country and first in Conference USA in tackles per game with 11.3 per game and tied for seventh in tackles with 68.

Redshirt freshman Marvin Branch had a career-high 11 tackles, half a tackle for loss and a pass breakup in the win over Charlotte.

Senior linebacker Martez Simpson is sixth on the team with 26 tackles.
