NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University football will host its annual Pro Day on Thursday, Mar. 19.
The 2014 ODU senior class will perform various drills in front of NFL scouts, doing such workouts as the bench press, 3-cone drill and 40-yard dash, as well as positional drills.
The list of former Monarchs working out includes Cam Boyd, Malik Gumbs, Taylor Heinicke, Eriq Lewis, Rick Lovato, Josh Mann, Reggie Owens, Gary Scruggs, D.J. Simon and Antonio Vaughan.
ODU has one player currently in the NFL as D.J. Morrell spent the 2014 season on the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad. Former Old Dominion quarterback, Thomas DeMarco and defensive end, Deron Mayo, play in the CFL for the Ottawa RedBlacks and Calgary Stampeders, respectively. Mayo and the Stampeders won the CFL’s Gray Cup last season.
