CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Old Dominion University senior swimmer Sidni Hoxha set the Old Dominion and Nike Cup record in the 100-meter freestyle on the final day of the Nike Cup.
Hoxha's second record-setting time of the event breaks his previous time in the 100-meter of 43.43. He also eclipsed his own mark in the 50 freestyle earlier in the week and also holds the school record in the 200 freestyle.
Yesim Giresunlu started the day for ODU with a third place finish in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:45.31.
Bernardo Figuiredo earned a fourth place finish in the men’s 1650 freestyle while Tyler Anderson took home sixth place.
The Monarchs finished fifth in the final event of the day, the men's 400-meter freestyle relay. The team of Vitor Sa, Carter Watson, Graham Thatcher and Hoxha finished in a time of 3:01.48.
