NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University women’s basketball team held their annual awards banquet on Thursday evening in front of fans, players, coaches and administration at the ODU Rowing Center to present the team awards from the 2012-13 season.
Highlights were featured from throughout the season along with dinner, giveaways, music and fun. All-conference award winners and academic honors were handed in addition to key awards that were presented by head coach Karen Barefoot to:
Best All-Around Guard: Jackie Cook, Sr.
Best All-Around Post: Becca Allison, R-Jr.
Sixth Woman/“X” Factor: Tiffany Minor, So.
Rookie: Mairi Buchan, Sr.
MVP: To be announced at the ODU Annual All-Sports Banquet on Monday, April 29 at 6 p.m. at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
ODU finished the season with a 19-12 record and earned a spot in the WNIT for the third time in the past four seasons and made the postseason for the 20th time in the past 22 years.
