The last time ODU was in the water the Lady Monarchs went 2-0 after beating UNC-W (95.00-68.00) and Richmond (82.00-81.00).
Kimberley Rashleigh took first in the 200 backstroke (2:02.87) and in the 400 IM (4:29.20), while Yesim Giresunlu won the 500 freestyle (5:01.53) and the 1650 freestyle (17:06.13). Giresunulu's time of 17:06.13 set a new pool record in the 1650 freestyle. Jessica Hubert won the 100 butterfly by not only posting the fifth fastest time in Old Dominion University history with a time of 56.3, but also set a new J.C. "Scrap" Chandler Pool benchmark. Hubert broke her personal best of 56.91 set in 2011, which was good enough for eighth on the ODU charts. Hubert also took first in the 200 butterfly (2:04.16).
Savannah Bowers placed first in the 200 free (1:53.26).
The Lady Monarchs also won the 400 medley relay (3:53.93) with Kimberley Rashleigh, Laura Cempel, Ashley Luchsinger, and Morgan Johnson. Rashleigh and Johnson also teamed up with Savannah Bowers and Mackenzie Payment to win the 400 free relay (3:31.00).
ODU's men dropped their first dual meet to UNC-W 177.00-176.00. The Monarchs won a total of eleven individual events, led by Ryan Telep and Mitchell Ortiz winning two each.
Mitchell Ortiz won the 1 meter with a score of 243.45, moving him up from ninth to eighth on the school's top 10 list. Danny Rabe finished in second on the 1 meter and also cracked ODU's top 10 scores by posting a 231.20, which puts him ninth on the all-time list.
Ortiz continued his dominance on the diving board by winning the 3 meter (246.40) as well.
Ryan Telep earned victories in the 200 IM (1:56.17) and 400 IM (4:09.06). Bernardo Figueredo captured a victory in the 1650 free (16:32.10). Carter Watson hit the wall first in the 200 free (1:44.31), while Jason Brame posted the top time in the 500 free (4:44.24).
