GREENVILLE, NC-- The ODU Lady Monarchs continued their solid tournament play shooting 301 in the first round of the ECU Lady Pirate Intercollegiate for thirdplace just six strokes behind the co-leaders Maryland and UNC Wilmington.
Because of the rainy conditions, the second round will be pushed back to Tuesdayand 36 holes will be played.
Individually, junior Elizabeth Haycock is tied for fourth with an even par 72 just four strokes behind the tournament leader Juliet Vongphoumy of Maryland who shot 68.Senior Samantha Morrell is tied for 15th with a first round score of 74, just sixstrokes back. Kimberley Bradbury fired 77 and Gemme Fuster 78, followed by freshmanLauren Eklund at 81.
Both Maryland and UNCW shot 295 today, followed by ODU at 301 and Elon is in fourthat 302.
