NORFOLK, Va.- The Old Dominion men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads will compete against the University of Delaware on Saturday, October 27. Competition will begin at 1 p.m. at the Harry Rawstrom Pool which is in the Carpenter Sports Building in Newark, Delaware.
The Delaware women’s swimming and diving team comes into this meet 2-0 (1-0) after defeating Georgetown and George Mason.
The Delaware men’s swimming and diving team will face off with the Monarchs after starting their season with a 1-1 (0-1) record. The Blue Hens beat Georgetown but lost to George Mason.
The Lady Monarchs are coming off a 2-0 start after beating UNC-W (95.00-68.00) and Richmond (82.00-81.00).

"Scrap" Chandler Pool benchmark. Hubert broke her personal best of 56.91 set in 2011, which was good enough for eighth on the ODU charts. Hubert also took first in the 200 butterfly (2:04.16).

The Lady Monarchs also won the 400 medley relay (3:53.93) with , , , and . Rashleigh and Johnson also teamed up with and to win the 400 free relay (3:31.00).
The ODU men dropped their first dual meet to UNC-W 177.00-176.00. The Monarchs won a total of eleven individual events, led by and winning two each.
Mitchell Ortiz won the 1 meter with a score of 243.45, moving him up from ninth to eighth on the school's top 10 list. finished in second on the 1 meter and also cracked ODU's top 10 scores by posting a 231.20, which puts him ninth on the all-time list.
Ortiz continued his dominance on the diving board by winning the 3 meter (246.40) as well.

Other winners for the Monarchs included in the 100 free (46.47) with a new ODU Pool record, in the 200 back (2:06.61), and in the 200 fly (1:53.19).
Although, placed second in the 100 fly (50.17), his time was good enough to put him sixth on the school's top 10 list.
